BREAKING NEWS
Kyoto International School to become a full high school
A new chapter is beginning for Kyoto International School, as we announce plans to open a full high school, teaching students through to the age of 18. KIS currently enrols students from Kindergarten to Grade 10. From 2025, we will add Grade 11, followed by Grade 12 in 2026.
The school is planning to provide the IB Diploma, to ensure the highest standards of academic and teaching excellence. Students will be able to choose from a wide range of subject options in sciences, math, languages, arts and humanities. All students will also receive a US-accredited High School Diploma. With these qualifications, our internationally minded students will be equipped to enter universities anywhere in the world.
Extensive plans are also underway to expand and upgrade our facilities and equipment across the entire school, to ensure outstanding learning experiences for students of all ages, from K1 to K12.
